How to Make your Home Smell  Like Christmas with Holiday Seasons Must Do Pot Pourri Stove Top Mix recipe

If you are having Guests come over and no time to run out to get some nice smelling candles. You too can enjoy the Smells of Christmas in your home with this easy recipe.
As The smells of the Nutmeg, some Christmas evergreen, cinnamon, orange and the Hustle Bustle all mean the Holidays are here. But Your Home doesn’t have to be all bustle and hustle.
A stove top pot pourri mix is an easy inexpensive way to make your home smell wonderful and relax while you wrap those presents.  Packaging the mix in a gorgeously wrapped Mason Glass Jar or an Apothecary Jar  and keeping this on your Kitchen counter can also serve as a Natural Kitchen Decoration for the Season.
Perhaps you can Wrap the Mix up into a simple Organza Holiday bag, or a mug, which makes a wonderful gift for friends, neighbors, teachers and co-workers, and therefore it’s one of my favorite Holiday Season’s Must Do!

I love to use an orange that is starting to get old… or just use the peel of an orange, even apples.
Another important tip is don’t allow the water to completely evaporate. I always refill the water when I turn it on.  One mix stays good for weeks.  With heating the mix does turn brown, but continues to smell wonderful, so I usually make only batch in a season.
It’s not the Holidays without the delicious scent…  and Music, it makes me think of cranberry sauce, turkey, movies and oh yes of course some good old fashioned Rum and Egg Nog!
The Holidays are also well celebrated with some wonderful Christmas Tunes!

  • even throw in some Bergamot essential oils or fresh herbs.
